BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

“To this date, Bosnia and Herzegovina has not withdrawn any funds for IT sector from EU funds, such as Digital Europe, and IPA projects”, said Minister Edin Forto at today’s event in which dr. Trinh Anh Tuan, EIT Digital Regional Node Director East, presented EIT Digital and discussed the possibility for cooperation of BiH IT companies with this organisations and the way to approach their resources.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently the last of the six Western Balkan economies in terms of its pace of alignment of its transport policy with the EU acquis.
Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, met today in Skopje with the Minister of Transport and Communications of Northern Macedonia, Blagoje Bočarski.
The award of the Contract for the procurement of equipment for digital transmission and broadcasting for the Public Broadcasting Services Digitalisation Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina will wait for the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to decide on the appeal filed by MIBO komunikacije company from Sarajevo (on behalf of the Consortium also comprising: Roaming Networks d.o.o. Banja Luka, UNIS telekomunikacije d.d. Mostar and Flame Data Technologies SRL Romania) on the Conclusion made by the Procurement Review Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina of 31 October 2023.
The construction of an interstate bridge over the Tara River at the conjunction of the main road at Šćepan Polje location will commence next year, as was agreed at the meeting between the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, and the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović.
At the meeting held today in Brusells, BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, and Director-General of Directorate General of Technology and Communications at the European Commission, Roberto Viola, welcomed successful completion of negotiations on Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the Digital Europe Programe, announcing that the signature of the Agreement concerning the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Digital Europe Programme of the Union (2021-2027) will take place by the end of the current year or in early 2024.
