Forto: To include Bihać – Sarajevo – Podgorica expressway into the European corridors network

The inclusion of the Bihać – Sarajevo – Podgorica expressway into the European corridors network which would facilitate financing thereof and ensure EU grants, the modernisation of existing and construction of new railway infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the digital transformation and detoxification of the public space from hate speech were some of the topics BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, discussed in Brussels with Acting Director of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), Majra Bakran Marcich, Deputy Director of the Directorate - General for Communications Networks, Content and Technologies (DG CONNECT) Renata Nikolay and Director of the Directorate - General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement (DG NEAR) Gert-Jan Koopman.

Many of those with whom Minister Forto spoke in the EU seat were united in their observation and request that the presence of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brussels has to be stronger and more proactive.

“We will make use of construction and visible projects opportunities which have already been well used by the countries of the region. That is the best way for BiH citizens to feel benefits of European integrations“, Minister Forto said.
