Bosnia and Herzegovina stands ready for negotiations with EU

Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, met today with the Minister of State for Europe and Climate at the German Federal Foreign Office, Anna Lührmann, with whom he discussed the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Lührmann conveyed the position of the German Government that additional effort is needed and the necessary legislation needs to be adopted in order for Bosnia and Herzegovina to get a positive answer in March that would send a signal that Bosnia and Herzegovina is truly serious about its accession to the European Union.

At the meeting they also discussed revitalisation and reconstruction of railway infrastructure and large infrastructure projects, i.e., significant allocations from EU funds with the aim of improving the standard of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
