As noted at the bilateral meeting between the delegations of Bosnia and Herezegovina and Montenagro, with the view of all previosly concluded bilateral agreements, the construction of transport infrastructure is of key importance for the economic and social development of the two countries.

“The construction and maintenance of road communications and facilites is of great importance for the regional connectivity of the Western Balkan countries and the European Union Member States, contributing to better business cooperation and economic development. The construction of transport infrastructure would improve the link between Sarajevo and Podgorica, as well as the direct connections with the neighbors" said Minister Mitrović.

“It’s been a great pleasure to have had the opportunity to sign the MoU with Minister Mitrović as the first step towards the realisation of several very important projects aimed at improving the transport connectivity between the two friendly countries. With our signature, we confirm the readiness to strengthen our interstate, friendly, and economic ties” said Minister Ibrahimović.

Minister also added that the Agreement on co-financing the construction of a bridge over the Tara River on the Šćepan Polje - Hum border crossing is to be confirmed by the Parliament of Montenegro in the in the coming days, the funds for which have already been planned in the 2023 budget.
