Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, attended the opening of the International Conference on Medical Biological Engineering and 16th Mediterranean Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering and Computing.

As noted in his address, such events show that Bosnia and Herzegovina has experts in many areas, but it is necessary for politics to create room for their work.

“We must create a knowledge-based society, and in order to do so, we need to have more people at such events that come from business community and private sector who are willing to take part in research and contribute to the development of the community.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only European country that lacks digital television signal and we must change it as soon as possible, as we are 10 years behind Europe in this segment” said Forto.
