To this end, preparation of Guidelines for designing traffic areas around schools was agreed, that will officially be presented in several BiH towns in May this year.

Adoption of strategic goals for road transport safety and intelligent transport systems, updating of the Framework Transport Strategy until 2030, development of electronic toll collection interoperability, current status of the projects under the European Commission Economic Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, as well as the organisation of the upcoming Green Summit 6 – 7 June in Sarajevo were discussed at the meeting.

Director Zakošnjek offered assistance of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat in improving the railway sector legislative framework. The assessment was also made that the activities carried out as part of the demining of the Sava River right bank will enable further development of the river’s entire waterway.
