In the first part, data on trade exchange between the two countries were exchanged.
When it comes to passenger transport, the BiH side noted on the issue of illegal transportation of passengers and emphasised the importance of the engagement by the control authorities. The German side noted it would inform the competent control authorities in the country of such issue, and the appointment of contact persons for the exchange of information on the illegal passenger transport has been agreed.
Following the request by the BiH side for additional information regarding the new passenger transport information system, the German side assured to provide it subsequently, given that it is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In terms of goods transport, the BiH side proposed that Euro 0 and Euro 4 category permits be abolished for 2023. Additionally, it was proposed to increase the number of Euro 6 category permits compared to the number of Euro 5 category permits. Also, the BiH side proposed to increase the contingent of Euro 6 category annual permits.
The German side agreed with the proposal to abolish the exchange of Euro 0 and Euro 4 category permits and supported the proposal to increase the number of Euro 6 category permits compared to the Euro 5 category.
For the current year, it has been agreed that additional 3,000 permits for the goods transport would be granted to the BiH side, of which 1,000 permits for vehicles of minimum Euro 5 eco standard, and 2,000 permits for vehicles of the minimum Euro 6 eco standard.
As a result of the negotiations, the two sides agreed on the following contingent of permits for 2023:
The two sides agreed that the permit validity period will be until 31 January of the following year, as has been the case so far.
