As noted, parts of the TEN-T network in Bosnia and Herzegovina have already been put into operation. These are the section of the Corridor VC and the motorway from Banja Luka towards Gradiška, to which a new road link from Mostar towards the Croatia border and Split will be added. The rail connections Čapljina-Nikšić-Podgorica will also be recognised as part of TEN-T comprehensive rail network.
They agreed that these projects, coupled with ongoing reforms, will bring the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to their neighbours in the Western Balkans and the EU.
Director Zakonjsek highlighted the Secretariat’s readiness to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in the implementation of transport laws, noting that the publication of Transport Community’s Action Plan Progress Report is expected in autumn.
Permanent Secretariat Director invited Minister Forto to take part in this year’s Connectivity Summit, which the Secretariat is organising together with CEFTA, the focus of which will be on the issues related to sustainable and efficient transport and logistics as main conditions for attracting investments and enhanced trade within the region and with the EU.
