Tasks of the Internal Audit Unit

• Internal Audit Unit is in charge of performing internal audits within the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Directorate of Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Agency for Postal Traffic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Railway Regulatory Board of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Law on Internal Audits in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the manner prescribed by the Decision on criteria for establishing internal audit units in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
• The Unit performs the internal auditing functions in accordance with the Law on Internal Audit of the Institutions of BiH, the Decision on the adoption of the code of professional ethics for internal auditors in the institutions of BiH, the Charter of internal audit in the institutions of BiH, the Manual for internal audit with standards of internal audit in the institutions of BiH, the Agreement on Performing the Internal Auditing Functions and other by-laws as prescribed by the Central Harmonization Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Internal Audit Unit performs internal auditing based on approved strategic, annual and individual audit plans that build on risk assessments and the set priorities, ensuring efficient and effective use of available resources.
