Ambassador Ghelichkhan thanked the Minister for the meeting and the opportunity for the discussion.
As noted at the meeting, BiH and Iran should particularly rely on the cooperation within the transport sector, notably due to the fact that the international road transport of passengers and goods between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Iran was regulated by the bilateral Agreement on International Transport of Passengers and Goods signed in 1996 and has not been revised to this date.
They reiterated the necessity to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries, primarily in the area of transport and infrastructure. To this regard, a meeting of expert group is announced to be held in Sarajevo with the aim of discussing a possible increase in the contingent of bilateral permits to be exchanged and signing of a memorandum on road transport between Iran and BiH.
