As noted by Minister Mitrović, the Gradiška Bridge is a large and serious project the opening of which will send a message of friendship towards the Republic of Croatia.

“Putting into operation of this bridge will reduce traffic load in Gradiška and connect BiH with the EU and the Western Balkans thus promoting development of this area and the whole BiH“, Minister Mitrović said.

The Member of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said that this long-awaited completion of the Sava river Bridge was a dream come true for many generations living here.

„Our goal is to be a part of the european transport and communications network when it comes to motroways. And, that is what we do“, Member of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said.

State Secretary of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, Tomisal Mihotić said that after the Pelješac Bridge has been put into operation, the opening of this bridge is very important for the Republic of Croatia.

“We are extremely satisfied with the opening of this bridge as it brings prosperity, economic growth and exchange of goods. We hope that this bridge will enable for people of both countries to connect and engage in economic cooperation. This will enrich our cooperation with new values “, State Secretary Mihotić said.

Head of Cooperation of the EU Delagation in BiH, Stefano Ellero said that the Bridge over the Sava River near Gradiška will bring many benefits to citizens, the economy but also to the whole region and the EU, adding that the EU commits considerable funding aimed at providing Bosnia and Herzegovina with modern roads to the satisfaction of all passengers.

The official ceremony was attended by the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nedeljko Čubrilović, ministers in the Government of Republika Srpska, Acting Director of the PC “RS Motorways“, Slobodan Stanarević, EU representatives in BiH, representatives of „Croatian Roads Ltd“ as well as many citizens.
